UXR Giving Back Projects: Creating a Research Protocol for a Website

Details

At this meeting, our UXRGB teams will do a quick collaborative discovery phase on our partner organizations and discuss how to create a research protocol for simple remote methods.

“Giving Back” Projects, 2020 description

The Boulder/Longmont UX Research Meetup is engaging in our second annual round of “Giving Back” Projects, in which our members work collaboratively with at least one local nonprofit organization or Colorado business known for giving back to the community. Our group will provide free user experience recommendations on this partner’s main website based on a preliminary round of research using standard industry methodologies.

The goal for our group is to leverage the collective talents of our members to “give back” to local companies or organizations that benefit from our expertise. Our partners are under no obligation to implement the recommendations from our findings; we hope they see our efforts as providing a window into the pulse of their target audiences, to do with what they will, in moving their organization forward.

The “Giving Back” Projects are a great opportunity for experienced UX researchers to give back to the profession while expanding their professional networks, and for inexperienced UX researchers to engage hands-on in a short, supported project that you can use to build your professional story.
