Beaver Rez to Sawtooth Mountain (12,268'), IPW *DAY HIKE*

Sawtooth Mountain is very visible from Peaks Highway just south of Allenspark. It's a little side trip off the Buchanan Trail. I haven't hiked in that area yet. I don't think it's very busy at all!

Starting from the Beaver Reservoir trailhead which is off Peaks Highway, we'll hike about 7 miles to the summit of Sawtooth and back for a total of around 14 miles with 3000' of gain. The trail is at worse a class 2 (don't worry, we'll approach the summit from the gentle north-west side)

Depending on how we feel, we can tack on Red Deer Lake as well, for some added mileage.
