Demystify SQL Server Performance

A key component of overall application performance tuning is query tuning. Writing queries in an efficient manner, and making sure they execute in the most optimal way possible, is always a challenge. This presentation will show few scenarios where some of the SQL features negatively affects performance, discuss and see how these problems can be mitigated and thereby improving performance.


Anup Gopinathan, is a Sr SQL Server database consultant at Datavail. He has worked with many customers over past 10 years, helping them with performance tuning, writing TSQL codes, powershell scripting and automations, high availability and disaster recovery solution, migration to cloud and developing solutions. He is a SQL Server MCITP and AWS certified Solution Architect Professional. He has also presented at PASS Summit and likes to share his new findings and knowledge via his blog post:
