ABOUT OUR BIBLE STUDY

This is a beginner-friendly Bible study for women who desire to grow in their knowledge and understanding of God's written Word.

We meet via Zoom every Thursday from 8:00–9:00 PM Eastern Time.

Each week, we read and study the Bible together, chapter by chapter. We take turns reading Scripture and discussing what we are learning. Whether you are brand new to Bible study or have been studying for years, you are welcome to participate. Participate when you can! While regular attendance is encouraged, we understand that life and schedules sometimes interfere.

We are Bible-believing Christians who believe that:
- The Bible should be allowed to interpret itself.
- Sound doctrine is essential to the Christian faith.
- Scripture should be rightly divided according to the instruction given in 2 Timothy 2:15.
- God's written Word has been preserved for us in the King James Bible.

FOUNDATIONAL DOCTRINES

We believe it is important for every Christian to understand the foundational doctrines of the faith. Whether you are a beginner or a mature student of Scripture, we encourage you to review our Foundational Doctrines infographic and compare everything with the Word of God.

IS THIS BIBLE STUDY RIGHT FOR YOU?

Because doctrine matters, we want prospective members to understand the doctrinal position of this group before joining. Following the instruction of Romans 16:17, we believe Christians should identify and avoid doctrines that are contrary to biblical teaching.

Accordingly, this group does not affirm the doctrines or religious systems associated with:
Seventh-Day Adventism, Jehovah's Witnesses, New Age teachings, Mormonism, Freemasonry, Christian Science, the Unification Church, Roman Catholicism, Wicca, Scientology, Islam, Kabbalah, Judaism, the Black Hebrew Israelite Movement, the Hebrew Roots Movement, Agnosticism, Atheism, Annihilationism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Universalism/Universal Reconciliation, Pentecostalism, the Word of Faith Movement, the Prosperity Gospel, the Charismatic Movement, Calvinism/Reformed Theology, Arminianism, the United Church of God or related law-keeping denominations, Lordship Salvation, and the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). Note, this is not a complete list but the more common associations and false doctrines.

Those who currently identify with one of these traditions or belief systems are still welcome to attend and study the Bible with us.

However, please understand that this group will openly examine doctrines in light of Scripture and may teach conclusions that differ substantially from the beliefs listed above. Our purpose is not to debate or argue with one another, but to study God's Word together and allow Scripture to be our final authority. STATEMENT OF BELIEF

God

We believe there is one living and true God, eternally existing as the Godhead—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost—each distinct and equal in power and glory: omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. (1 John 5:7–8; Colossians 2:9; John 1:1; John 10:30; John 5:18; Matthew 28:19)

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary. Christ is the visible image of the invisible God, and in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. (John 1:18; John 8:24; 1 Corinthians 12:3; John 10:33; John 1:14; Matthew 2:1–2; Colossians 1:15; Colossians 2:9)

Jesus Christ lived a sinless life and provided atonement for our sins through His death on the cross and the shedding of His blood. He was bodily resurrected, ascended to the right hand of God the Father, and ever lives to make intercession for us.

The Holy Ghost

We believe the Holy Ghost is the Spirit of God and is fully divine.

Salvation

We believe salvation is the free gift of God. We are saved by grace through faith alone in Christ alone, apart from our works. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)

Salvation occurs the moment a person believes the gospel of grace—how that Christ died and shed His blood for our sins, was buried, and rose again for our justification—as revealed to Paul by revelation of Jesus Christ.

At the moment of salvation, the believer receives the indwelling Holy Ghost and is sealed unto the day of redemption.

We believe that those who are saved receive the imputed righteousness of Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

We believe that the moment a person believes the gospel, the Holy Spirit baptizes the believer into Jesus Christ—identifying the believer with His death, burial, and resurrection—and places the believer into the Body of Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:13; Romans 6:3–5; Ephesians 4:4–6; 1 Corinthians 1:17)

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired written Word of God and that God's Word has been preserved for us in the King James Bible.

Our desire is simple: to study God's Word faithfully, rightly divide the Word of truth, grow in sound doctrine, and encourage one another in the faith.
