Budapest Science Meetup+ (w/ astronomer Gerry Williger)

Details
We are very happy to announce our second ever english-language Budapest Science Meetup+ event with our special guest, astronomer Gerry Williger. With the support of the Asimov Foundation, Csodák Palotája and with thanks to the US Embassy in Hungary for bringing Gerry and his work to our attention.
Gerry Williger: Alcohol and Other Important Molecules in Space
Clouds of gas and dust contain molecules, and condense to form
stars, planets and -- at least in our solar system -- life. How do
these molecules form, what kinds do we see and how do we observe them?
Come and enjoy an illustrated look at the path of molecules from the
Big Bang to life.
Gerry Williger earned his Bachelor's degree at Ohio
State University in the USA, and his PhD in Astronomy at the
University of Cambridge in England. He then did post-doctoral
research at Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory in Chile,
Max-Planck-Institut in Heidelberg, and NASA Goddard Space Flight
Center and Johns Hopkins University in the USA. He is on the faculty
at the University of Louisville (also in the USA), and is currently a
Fulbright Research Scholar at Konkoly Observatory in Budapest. His
research specialties are quasars and proto-planetary disks.
