What we’re about
"Neurotalk" is becoming a staple of our popular culture. TV Series, Sitcoms, Movies, Newspapers, even president Obama are now talking about the brain!
Neuroscience discoveries, popping on media frequently, stir hopes in those of us hit by neurological illness, and anxieties for those of us who fear to be hit by them: Alzheimers, Autism, Depression anyone?
We are curious to ponder what these new science discoveries mean to us; and how they will change the ways in which we see ourselves, others and the legal and ethical fabrics of the society.
We gather to ask questions and to understand how scientists and journalists and philosophers are trying to find answers. Each question itself produces knowledge, for us, and for the scientists, the journalists and the philosophers among us.
We are an open community; everyone in any walk of life, of any knowledge background and of any level of expertise is welcome to join. You define the topics we meet to discuss; please ask them.
This is a thinking process. Join us!
