Prior to becoming a Financial Advisor, Jim Galpin had 19 years of experience managing projects aligning people, processes, and technology in the investment management industry. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in Management Information Systems, and then later obtained an MBA at the University of Houston. He holds the Series 7 and Series 66 FINRA registrations and a Life, Accident, & Health insurance license in the state of Texas. Now a Financial Advisor with Ameriprise, Jim leverages project management techniques with financial planning principles to help families organize their finances. Jim believes a structured approach to one’s personal finances results in greater confidence of achieving one’s financial goals.
The Brazos Valley Project Managers group (BVPM) is a venue of the Houston Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI). Our meetings are free and open to everyone. You do not need to be a member or a project manager.

to communications to organization techniques; beneficial across all industries.
