We are planning on doing some crafts for a worthy cause. Check out the description below. Don't forget to get your tickets ahead of time! Gather your friends and join us for a fun Friday night bowl painting workshop. We supply the bowls, paints, brushes and you provide the creativity!! Your $10 donation (per bowl) covers the cost of supplies and will help fill the bowls of hungry people in our community. (After you paint the bowl, we put on a final layer of glaze and fire your bowls into finished masterpieces to be offered to attendees of the Empty Bowls Detroit benefit in March.) Proceeds from the workshop benefit Cass Community Social Services food programs www.casscommunity.org for more information The workshop is located at The Cass Activities Center 3745 Cass Ave Detroit. Attendees also choose a bowl to take home out of the hundreds created throughout the course of the year from members of the community. Friday Night Live concerts focus on singer-songwriters and begin at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 and available in advance at the box office or at the door. I’m a beginner. Just went twice before, so this meetup is more of a “let’s suck together” kind of deal. There are lessons you can take too. If you’d had it by noon, no biggie. They have a bar with food and musicians. I’ll add more when the time gets closer, but please come and don’t be intimidated. I literally suck at snowboarding. Plus skiing is a great option and easier to pick up.
