What we're about

We are a Meetup where everybody can host events/be an organizer! You are an Organizer and you can organize repetitive events (repetitive events are actually good for people so I encourage weekly meetups scheduled on the same day/time every week but Meetups don't have to be organized that way), Meetups will NEVER be removed without a discussion about why and usually will only be removed if there are safety or ethical issues.

As an Organizer, have fun and follow the Bright Lines!

Bright Lines are guidelines for this Meetup, kind of like boundaries:

Bright Line #1: FUN! The MeetUps posted here need to be fun. Sometimes as adults, we get WAY too serious....from movies, to life, so busy and stressed out about all our adult responsibilities we forget to schedule FUN things in our life. So feel free to let your inner goofball out. Comedy clubs, Improv nights, Musical events (jazz), theater events, painting with a twist, etc. Channel your Playfulness, let's learn to play as adults.

Bright Line #2: HEALTHY! The MeetUps posted here need to be healthy. Which means, no major partying, no excessive drinking, not a hook up focused MeetUp, please be appropriate and respectful for example, it would NOT be appropriate to bring up pornography at a dinner table (yes this did happen......I know, ick!) Healthy in this group means: kind, respectful, appropriate, think 'PG' rating. Keep it Healthy.

Bright Line #3: AFFORDABLE! Let's include everyone! It is not fun to be left out, so plan events that every economic level can afford. Free events are great and if not free find events that a college student could pay for OH! And if you do schedule something more expensive which you can, make sure to tip the wait staff fairly. It is really disturbing to go out to a nice restaurant that has "20% tip" on the receipt and then people don't tip the 20% to the wait staff, unacceptable in this group (and yes this did happen to me in a Meetup, ick!). I don't care what the reason is, tip the wait staff, goes back to bright line 2, respectful and appropriate.

Bright Line #4: DIVERSE! Please be creative. Do things that are not mainstream, challenge ourselves. Mingle, connect, make friends, diversity brings richness and deeper understanding of the human organism.

And those are the Bright Lines, Have fun and Get Organizing!

Snowboarding/Skiing at Mt. Holly

Mt. Holly

I’m a beginner. Just went twice before, so this meetup is more of a “let’s suck together” kind of deal. There are lessons you can take too. If you’d had it by noon, no biggie. They have a bar with food and musicians. I’ll add more when the time gets closer, but please come and don’t be intimidated. I literally suck at snowboarding. Plus skiing is a great option and easier to pick up.
