COVID-19 UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2020

Due to the announced change in group meetings we are cancelling all of the larger group walks for the foreseeable future.

Walk leaders will be putting up individual walks with a maximum of 6 participants from various locations. Individuals that have been supporting with leading walks that wish to continue doing so please contact one of the current walk leaders (Mark, Ray, Steve or myself) and we will put a walk up on your behalf.

PLEASE ONLY SIGN UP FOR ONE OF THE WALKS AND ONLY SIGN UP IF YOU FULLY INTEND TO WALK AS PLACES WILL BE LIMITED

• Please do not attend if you are showing any symptoms of a respiratory infection, including cough, fever and loss of smell or taste.

• Please adhere to social distancing requirements on the walk.

• If you wish to attend the walk, it will be at your own risk and discretion.

The group is a group of friendly individuals that enjoy doing relaxed social walking.

The group has been very successful so we have started to create different groups for different walking speeds and they will be defined by the group leader.

Very Gentle 3 Mile Stroll through Linford Wood.

This walk will be hosted by Steve. ONCE YOU HAVE SECURED A PLACE ON ONE WALK PLEASE CANCEL OTHER WAITLISTS. • Please do not attend if you are showing any symptoms of a respiratory infection, including cough, fever and loss of smell or taste. • Please adhere to social distancing requirements on the walk. • If you wish to attend the walk, it will be at your own risk and discretion. Meet up at Heelands Local Centre MK13 7PN. There is a bakers for coffee and cake/bacon sandwich before or after. I anticipate this walk to be taken very gently and approximately 90 mins at this pace. The route is entirely paved/redways. Note: This walk is suitable for wheeled walkers. Please wear appropriate footwear, warm clothing and bring some water. We will stick together and give support and encouragement. 4.2 Mile Moderate Walk through Howe Park Wood and Tattenhoe Valley Park

This walk will be hosted by Ray. Due to current limitations read below regarding Covid-19 considerations: WE CAN ONLY HAVE A GROUP OF 6 MAX, SO PLEASE ONLY PUT YOUR NAME DOWN IF YOU FULLY INTEND TO TURN UP AS SPACES ARE LIMITED. • Please do not attend if you are showing any symptoms of a respiratory infection, including cough, fever and loss of smell or taste. • Please adhere to social distancing requirements on the walk. • If you wish to attend the walk, it will be at your own risk and discretion. Meet up in the public car park by St. Giles Church (free) on Portishead Drive, Tattenhoe - see map pin. The walk will go through Howe Wood and returning via a circular route through the Tatternhoe Valley Park. This will be a moderately paced walk that will take approximately 90 mins. The walk is mostly on hard paths and redways, but the walk thorugh the woods is unpaved. This walk will be suitable for wheeled walkers although there is a few kerbs to navigate. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing. We will stick together and give support and encouragement. 5.5 Mile Moderate Stroll From Howe Park Wood to Whaddon.

This Walk is hosted by Joe Due to current Limitations regarding Covid-19 Considerations: WE CAN ONLY HAVE A GROUP OF 6 MAX, SO PLEASE ONLY PUT YOUR NAME DOWN IF YOU FULLY INTEND TO TURN UP AS SPACES ARE LIMITED. • Please do not attend if you are showing any symptoms of a respiratory infection, including cough, fever and loss of smell or taste. • Please adhere to social distancing requirements on the walk. • If you wish to attend the walk, it will be at your own risk and discretion. Walking through Howe Park Wood, Tattenhoe Park and along the swans way, across the open field to Whaddon passing beautiful countryside and ancient woodland. I anticipate this walk to take approximately 90 mins, depending on the pace of the group. The walk is unsuitable for wheeled walkers. Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead. Saturday Afternoon Walk - 6 miles from Calverton to Beachampton

This event is hosted by Miranda - Note it is Saturday afternoon. Meeting up at the Shoulder of Mutton, Calverton, MK19 6ED This is a circular walk via Beachampton. I anticipate this walk to take approximately 90 mins, depending on the pace of the group.
