We can vote on the best option, then meet again to share our views on it.

Do you have a favourite Japanese book or film to talk about? Please tell us about it at this experimental new event.

Over the cold, dark winter months I am thinking of running some semi-regular book and or film online meetups. This is the first toe in the water.

Any type of film or book is acceptable as long it has a connection to Japan. It could be a crazy anime or manga, or a black and white 1940's classic.

At this first event, I will ask everyone to talk a little about their favourite film and/or book.

There are some great Japanese films to watch online with the British Film Institute. There are also great Japanese authored books in the Brighton library as well as available online. I can make some suggestions at this first event.

We could decide as a group to either watch or read a certain title individually before the next meetup.

I am open to suggestions as to how the event will run.
