Hands-on Android

Details
We've got something different planned for our next session. Paul Blundell will lead a hands-on Introduction to Android session. He'll cover some Android basics by walking people through creating an App that can search twitter, parse the results and display on the screen. We'll use Activities, Fragments & ASyncTask, as well as dealing with rotation changes and different device form factors.
Everyone will be working in pairs. If you want to sort your pairs in advance that would be helpful, but you can find someone on the night. Full details of the software and set-up requirements are on the main Brighton Java site (http://www.brightonjava.com/blog/requirements-hands-android-session/).
Paul Blundell is an Android developer living in Brighton and works for Novoda (http://www.Novoda.com); an Android consultancy based in East London. Novoda develops desirable solutions for a wide range of companies, recently helping Tesco create applications for its just released Hudl Tablet where Paul was the lead developer on the Groceries shopping experience. In the past Paul has created the AutoTrader Android application and the infamous series of 'GymBabes' applications.
