A Practical Introduction to FXGL game engine

Details

This is a short 3-part practical workshop on how to make cross-platform (Desktop / Mobile / Web / Embedded) Java applications and games with the FXGL game engine. Each part is around 10 minutes long and by the end of each part, you will be able to:

  • Part 1, set up a project and add a moving visual game object.
  • Part 2, add gameplay mechanics.
  • Part 3, produce a deployable zero-dependency platform image (executable)

Check out the youtube trailer to get an idea of what FXGL can be used for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuDQg7W0v4g

We will be opening the zoom at 5:30pm for people to gather and chat. Almas will be available throughout for Q&A between the videos, and afterwards.

The zoom link will be sent out on the day of the talk.
