Welcome to the first ever Brighton Magento meetup kindly sponsored by Dotdigital.
Following feedback from some attendees we are going to host our first meetup at the GENE office on Middle Street, where we'll provide beer, pizza and a some great talks from people in the Magento community!
Our Speakers for the event are as follows;
– Sophie Alway - GENE
Did you know 71% of all visits to ecommerce sites in the UK are from a mobile device? Sophie, a member of the team at GENE and also small business owner, will be discussing the importance of Mobile Optimisation and a initiative to gain global insights on how we can improve conversion on mobile.
– Stephen Hill - VAIMO
What are the successful strategies and tactics in digital commerce when it comes to psychology? Stephen, an Ecommerce Consultant at VAIMO will share some insights on how to best drive success with behavioural psychology in digital commerce, based on practical experience working with retailers and brands across the world.
– Michael Gunner - GENE
For every 1 second of reduced load time, a typical online retailer can see a 2% increase in conversions. But performance is as much about inclusivity and the open web as it is profits. Michael, a front-end developer at GENE will show you how performance budgets can help you not just build for performance, but maintain it.
– Gavin Laugenie - DOTDIGITAL
"The Future is now! Are you ready for it?" The modern day consumer is far more in-tune with how valuable they are and what you can offer them. Brands need to engage customers in a deeper, more meaningful way, that's why Forrester have reported that 72% of businesses say improving customer experience is their top priority. Gavin, Head of Strategy and Insight at Dotdigital, tackles just how we make our communications more relevant using technology that is now available to us.
Following the talks, we'll have an open discussion about Magento and also find out more about the topics you want to discuss, so for future events we can bring in more great speakers you all want to hear from.
For those who want to join us after, we will be heading to the pub for a few drinks.
This meetup is open to ALL; Agencies, Merchants, Freelancers, Students et al.
Look forward to seeing you on the 17th July!
