Tonight we will be having a talk from Andrew Cheeseman on what technologies and practices that you should consider when building new web applications.

Andrew is an ex-CTO of a startup and now a solution architect at AWS in the startup team. He is working with startup companies that have 1 to 500 developers. These companies range from household names to small companies working on a passion.

This session will dive into the good & bad and the dos & don'ts of startups. Andrew will talk about the hot technologies, the not so hot ideas and patterns that get applied and miss applied.

What goes around and comes around in the world of software development.

Bio:
Andrew has been a Chief Technical Officer, Lead architect and Senior Developer with over 28 years’ solid career history working for AWS, Creative Technologies (Schroders), Microsoft and IBM. During his career to date, he has worked with leading global corporations, start-ups, and SMEs on a variety of key projects, including software design and implementation, technical architecture. He has also been a speaker at software industry events and meetups. Just recently Andrew joined AWS as a principal solution architect in the start-ups team.
