Single Page Applications with ASP.NET Core - Jason Taylor (
Jason will be showing how we can use ASP.NET Core JavaScript Services to build single page applications using Angular, Aurelia, Knockout, React, React+Redux or Vue. He'll demonstrate server-side pre-rendering, webpack dev middleware, hot module replacement (HMR), efficient production builds and much more. You will walk away ready to create single page applications using your favourite client-side framework and ASP.NET Core.

Service Workers: Annoying or Helpful? - Thiago Passos (
A service worker is a script that your browser runs in the background, separate from a web page. This opens the door to features that don't need a web page or user interaction. Now, with a little bit of imagination, you can see how annoying or how useful service workers can be. Thiago will give us a tour of some of the features and annoyances of this piece of technology.

Using Github as a CMS Backend - Tim Marwick (
Tim has offered to demonstrate some novel uses for the Github API, and how you can extend it into far reaching places. Some may not use it, but Github has a fairly decent CRUD GUI, and a great API. Tim wants to show you that you can avoid building your own CRUD and Enable server-less CMS functionality with markdown and revisions in git.
