We're very grateful to 3 speakers this month for volunteering the following talks:
🎨 How to create a minimal design system with limited resources - Armağan Ersöz & Raouf Araji (@broccolinisoup) - 30 min
Design systems are an essential part of building consistent digital products, but it's sometimes treated as a side priority that doesn't get the attention it deserves.
Maybe you want to start building one but are a bit lost. Maybe you do not have enough buy-in from the business. Maybe there aren't enough resources for the design system to reach maturity. In this talk, Raouf and Armağan will talk about what the design systems are and how to build and maintain one from a designer and a developer perspective. They will share their first hand experiences of building one and give some actionable tips and tricks, especially when you don't have a dedicated team.
🧩 ES2020 features you can use now - Josh Wulf (@sitapati) - 10m
Josh is here to introduce a few handy new future ES2020 features, which have been made available in TypeScript 3.7-3.8: optional chaining and nullish coalescing. "Program like it's the future NOW!!!"
🤹 What I've Learned - Kim Adil (@kimadil1) - 15-20m
For all the students, job seekers and people starting out, here's a story of a growth experience in the IT and JS development scene from Kim Adil.
From looking through job ads, choosing what to learn, learning a bunch using YouTube, networking and ultimately landing a job for hands on learnings in a workplace... Kim can introduce a some of the stuff education does not teach!
