We're already half-way through 2019 Brisbane JavaScript-ers!! Yes it's June already, but it's still glass half full as we have 6 more meetups to enjoy!
To keep things snappy - i'm employing a clock in front for speakers, and trying to ensure we keep to time. :-)

With the continued rise of component libraries, we walk through a real-world scenario describing the need for a cross-platform (non-framework specific) component library. Then, we walk through how we can achieve this using Svelte, including example components in multiple frameworks.

🔬JS Based Electoral OCR - Colin Gourlay (@collypops) - 15-20min:
ABC News's Story Lab veteran, Colin Gourlay, recently created a demo which decoded the obscure parties we were seeing on our recent ballot papers - all with OCR through JavaScript. Come check out this journalistic hack and enjoy some of it's code.

John's an O.G. BrisJS presenter from way back, and he's kindly volunteered to grace us with a dive into Storybook. John's been successfully creating a Storybook for Kendo UI, and can give us an overview of what Storybook is, how it works, how it can be used in a development environment for component development. With real world examples of Storybook, John will be able to explain how vanilla JS, TS, Angular, Vue, React... all benefit from a component storybook.

The upper and lower car parks in Toowong Village are open until 10:30 at night, leaving plenty of time for you to leave after the event. BrisJS is wheelchair accessible from the taxi rank, car parks and train station, but please note the train station is only wheelchair accessible via the street after the centre closes at 9pm.
