🤖 + 🍺 | Robots and Beer

It is going to be a night of informally chatting, eating and drinking. We'll be discussing robotics, science, startups and just your next crazy idea for awesome robots!

We will have special guests around this time:

• There will be a quick introduction to the IEEE QLD section by Luis Mejias Alvarez who is the QLD chair for the IEEE CS/RAS section

• Prasanna Srikhanta will quickly introduce himself and what he thinks great opportunities for startups in Brisbane are. Prasanna is an early stage angel investor (including Wish, Everlaw, Osaro, Zimperium, Uplevel Security and Go Car Insurance). His focus is primarily cyber-security and machine intelligence looking for companies that seek to push the boundaries of what is possible and aim for long term independence. Prasanna was a member Mithril’s (Peter Thiel’s growth fund) investment team, before that he was a Lead Engineer at Plumtree Software Inc, which was later acquired by BEA Systems. He is a QUT IT graduate.
