What we're about
We are a diverse group of British ex-pats who may have been living here for years or are newly arrived in Montreal. We get together at least once a month for a variety of activities with the aim of having fun and sharing common ground; where someone last spotted a packet of prawn cocktail crisps, working out how Gary Lineker become a national treasure etc.
We do receive lots of interest from non-Brits who "love British culture" or "want to practice English" - trust me, we are quite possibly the most uncultured meetup group in Montreal and you won't understand a word half the group says after their second beer. To this end our membership is restricted to British or Irish ex-pats or people who have lived in the UK for a considerable time and can handle the banter.
This group has an official organiser because someone has to do the admin, but everyone is encouraged to participate by suggesting and organising. We're a very relaxed social group so there's no commitments, other than a small annual membership fee, to cover costs.
NB: The membership questionnaire helps everyone to get to know everyone else, and admin to do its job. A photo is useful because we can spot you more easily at your first meet-up. Unfortunately, empty questionnaires will not elicit positive responses. Thanks for your efforts.
