    What we're about

This is the best, most advanced free kayak learning experience you can get in NYC.

Visualize basketball or soccer, but played on the river, between Brooklyn and lower Manhattan.

Only TWO organizations in NYC even do this.

Brooklyn Kayak Guides–in association with the Brooklyn Bridge Park Boathouse–is setting up kayak polo games on Sunday afternoons.

We've got the equipment (kayaks, vests, helmets, paddles)--you bring the enthusiasm and sportsmanship (shorts/sandals, too).

Your level of experience doesn't matter. Prepare to get addicted.

Paddle leisurely or whitewater, kayak polo improves your game big time.

The catch? We're limited to 15 participants per game. Meetup members play for the first game of the day at 11AM. Arrive at 10:15am to set up the goals and get your gear together (boat, vest, helmet, paddle, etc.). Being late is a big no-no.

We'll put you in a team and give you a vest number. Dedicated players and volunteers, though, will end up being teachers to others, and won't need to reserve.

    • Season begins soon and continue till mid-September.

    • Our Meetup game is begins 11AM (again, arrive at least by 10:15am--the walk from nearby subway stations is roughly 15 minutes).

    • Keep an eye out for our notices, to learn when our first session in 2018 happens.

    • Don't be left out. See ya soon.
