About us
This group is for local people 55+ to get together for socializing, conversation, and fun activities such as happy hours, local festivals, live music, charitable events, plus other suggestions from the group members. Additional co-hosts are wanted to allow for more activities!
This group strives for a mix of guys vs gals at our events. To achieve this, we may move people from the "waitlist" to "going" ahead of earlier responses. Understanding this policy is a requirement of being a member of this group.
We enjoy being organizers of this great group. Please understand this is something we volunteer to do. We do not regularly monitor the comments section and therefore might not respond in a timely manner.
Guidelines:
• No shows for RSVP events will be removed/banned from the group.
• A picture of your face and at least a first name is required to be a member
• Please refrain from using member’s list for business promotion.
• If an event involves drinking alcohol, please arrange transportation - don’t drink and drive!

The Game Plan & Experience
The menu for the day is fully stacked with classes. You have total flexibility to choose your own path through the day. No experience is required, and a partner is absolutely not needed! You will feel completely secure and supported from day one by participating with this Meetup tribe.
Your ultimate goal is to pace yourself, enjoy the community training throughout the day, and make it to the Grand Milonga Social Dance at the end of the night—this will absolutely be the highlight of your entire experience!What to Wear & Footwear Rules:
- For the daytime classes: Dress comfortably! You can wear proper dance shoes (heels or no heels are perfectly okay), or hard-soled street shoes. Just ensure your shoes are strictly non-marking to protect the beautiful Avalon floors.
- For the Grand Milonga: This evening gala features a live performance by the incredible Tango orchestra, Tangozo! It is a truly special, high-energy social event, so dress for a social event or to impress for the evening dance!
