Dandelion debate night: Vegetarianism

Details
Are vegetarians denying their true natures? Are they obsessed with ridiculing and demonising meat eaters? Or should we have progressed beyond eating meat? Is eating meat ultimately uncivilised and unnecessary? Sharpen your pencils, carrots and sticks for the next debate.
Debating involves one topic and two sides making their case. The host draws the teams at random and provides feedback afterwards because our goal is not only that you learn something about vegetarianism but also communication.
There is no need to prepare anything in advance but bringing pen and paper does not hurt.
The Dandelion debate nights argue one topic and train one technique each week. It takes place at a venue fully accessible for wheelchair users.
All levels of experience are very welcome - from first-timers to experienced debaters. Practice public speaking with fun!
