Hey all,

We're glad to announce a new Mobile Developers Meetup, on February 27th 2016!

Join us for two presentations at the Microsoft HQ, the sponsor of the event.
Drinks and snacks included.

1. Kotlin features for Android - Valentin Iorgu, Lead Mobile Developer at mReady

The Android development experience has improved considerably in the last couple of years thanks to some great libraries and tooling improvements but we're still stuck with an outdated version of Java while other platforms get shiny new toys like Swift.

You might have heard of Kotlin (also during our last meetup), but how exactly does it help?
In this presentation we'll go over several Kotlin features that help reduce boilerplate, can increase the stability of your codebase and enhance the overall development experience.

We'll explore things like inline functions, reified generics, receiver lambdas, delegated properties, sneak peak at coroutines and more.

2. Azure for Android – Radu Matei, Technical Evangelist at Microsoft

In this hands-on presentation, we will explore the capabilities of building your Android application by creating a cloud-based back-end, with integrated authentication and authorization, offline data sync, push notifications and autoscale.

See you there,
The Mobile Academy team
