BucharestJS & AngularJS Bucharest Joint Meetup is dedicated to Progressive Web Apps and that's because we'll have a very special speaker visiting us all the way from Hamburg - David Muellerchen - Angular trainer at http://WorkShops.de , front-end developer at HQLabs (https://www.hellohq.io) and Organizer of the Hamburg AngularJS Meetup.
This meetup is brought to you by our amazing friends at Endava (http://www.endava.com/). 💪 Without further ado, here's the awesome agenda:
• 19:00 - Intro
• 19:15 - Exploring Progressive Web Apps by David Muellerchen
The term Progressive Web App refers to a group of technologies, such as service workers, and push notifications, that can bring native-like performance and user experience to web apps. Progressive Web Apps are interesting because in some ways they represent a coming of age for the Web. Progressive Web Applications take advantage of new technologies to bring the best of mobile sites and native applications to users. Let's explore this new stuff.
• 20:00 - Web Workers & Caching: The Rickle In Time For PWA by Liviu Bobocu, Software Developer at Endava (http://www.endava.com/)
A progressive behavior is a quest for a developer. It requires a great deal of knowledge involving architecture, parallelism, low-level constructs and hard work. This discussion will be focused on a series of technologies and specs that allow you to bring performance and enhanced usability to web applications: Web Workers, caching techniques(IndexedDB, WebSQL) and Web Assembly.
• 20:30 - Beer & Pizza by Endava (http://www.endava.com/)
