🎤 19:00 - Intro notes

🎤 19:15 - Web World-Wind. The 3D virtual globe SDK developed by ESA and NASA. Presented by Claudia Ifrim Software Engineer la EOS CODE LAB.

Web World-Wind is a free, open-source 3D virtual globe written in JavaScript and developed by ESA and NASA. Web World-Wind provides a complete set of features for geographical visualization including imagery and terrain, as well as a rich collection of shapes. It allows displaying and interacting with geographical or geo-located information in 3D and 2D in any modern web browser. We have an amazing JavaScript API with a good documentation for developers and we want to let them know how we can make their life easier!

🎤 19:45 - Running Remote Code Execution as a Service. Presented by Ives van Hoorne, Co-founder at and Bogdan Luca, Dev & ops at

CodeSandbox is an online code editor tailored for web application development. We allow people to create projects on our website and we show a preview of what they write. For this, we need to evaluate the code. Until recently we did this solely by executing the code in the browser, but recently we started to run the code on the server as well.

During this session, we will talk about how we made it possible to run any arbitrary on on-demand servers. We will discuss what challenges we faced and how we solved them. We will also give a sneak peek into what we will do in the future to make this service better.

🍕& 🍺20:30 - Outro & networking
