Haroen contributes to various of our open source libraries (Vue, React and vanilla) mainly centered around Algolia's API, with the end goal of empowering users to think less about the hard parts of search and more about their interfaces.

When you are interacting with another piece of software, be it a REST API or a third party, what you’re actually making is your own abstraction around it. Once you realize that, you can use the tricks used in real API clients to your advantage and make reusable, good code.

Haroen studied in Ghent, Belgium until 2017 while living in Bruges, now living in Paris.
