What we're about

Bucks County Women in Tech exists to support women working in tech by providing venues to network, mentor and learn from others living or working in the Bucks County area.

Our vision is to create a network of empowered women who feel supported in their pursuit of successful careers in technology. We strive to provide events that facilitate learning about technology as well as from each others' experiences.

Note: While we focus our mission and messaging to women, we're women inclusive, not women-only.

Free VIRTUAL Javascript Class

Online event

Welcome to our Weekly {FREE!} JS online class! We believe that live-lectures and getting to ask questions is an important part of learning. That's why we always try to create an open and interactive learning environment. So be prepared for Granger to ask you questions during class, yeah You! We'll be starting off with some js basics and then working on some js exercises. If you've signed up for the class remember to send an email to Nico: [masked] to get the pw for the zoom room! You're welcome to attend both sections :D See you Thursday! A little about your instructor: Granger is a senior full-stack Ruby developer. He worked for 5+ years in NYC as a fullstack developer before starting Bogota Dev with Nicolle. Granger enjoys a good discussion about programming best practices and why we should be teaching others to code from a young age. Schedule: Beginner section! 4:15 pm EST (Eastern Time Zone): This class is for beginners and those looking to review from the beginning. We will go over variables, basic scripting, conditionals, and iteration. This is a great place to ask basic questions. Intermediate Section: 5:15 pm EST (Eastern Time Zone): This class is for people who have some idea of how to code with javascript, but they don't feel confident applying to full-time js jobs. We'll go over native functions that you should have mastered, using js classes, fat arrow functions, etc.
