Elixir introduction workshop

Hi,

Our next meetup will be a workshop about the programming language called Elixir. Elixir is running on the Erlang Virtual Machine. It is gaining popularity rapidly, especially among web developers, providing a more scalable alternative to Ruby on Rails.

This event is a cooperation with Elixir meetup (https://www.meetup.com/budapest-elixir/events/232248764/). Please, RSVP only in one of the groups, and keep in mind that we are coding and we have only 30 places.

Remember to bring your laptop.

The agenda for this event:

• A short talk about the history of Erlang and Elixir, their similarities and differences (Csaba Hoch)
• 15-20 minutes introduction/recap of Elixir (Dániel Vámosi).
• Help to install Elixir and set up environment if necessary.
• Solve hand-picked code katas together (in pairs, groups) from exercism.io.
