農曆四月初八(國曆五月六日，星期二)是浴佛節，每年在這殊勝的佛陀降生日，文殊傳承佛法中心都會舉辦禮讚浴佛修習法會及放生活動，在殊勝日子修行和行善，更能迅速增長善業。

浴佛節法會 – 五月六日星期二，上午10:00 am – 12:30 pm
文殊傳承佛法中心佈置鮮花妙香，讓人一進中心就覺得非常莊嚴並具加持力。依照經典所述，如法的安排修行儀軌。參加者可禮佛、浴佛、供燈、供食子、唱頌浴佛偈頌、唸誦各禮讚佛的經文。

關於浴佛及浴佛殊勝功德，在『浴佛功德經』中有記載:

若有眾生。能作如是勝供養者。成就十五殊勝功德而自莊嚴。一者常有慚愧。二者發淨信心。三者其心質直。四者親近善友。五者入無漏慧。六者常見諸佛。七者恒持正法。八者能如說行。九者隨意當生淨佛國土。十者若生人中大姓尊貴人所敬奉生歡喜心。十一者生在人中自然念佛。十二者諸魔軍眾不能損惱。十三者能於末世護持正法。十四者十方諸佛之所加護。十五者速得成就五分法身。

爾時世尊即說頌曰:

我般涅槃後能供養舍利或造窣睹波及以如來像

於彼像塔處塗拭曼荼羅以種種香華散佈於其上

以淨妙香水灌沐於像身上味諸飲食盡持以供養

讚歎如來德無量難思議方便智神通速至於彼岸

獲得金剛身具三十二相八十隨形好濟度諸群生

放生法會 -- 五月六日星期二，下午2:30 – 4:00 PM
解救即將垂危的生命，解除牠們的恐懼，並持咒給予甘露水加持，去除牠們的惡業，迴向牠們來生投生善趣，再釋放至安全之處。每位參加者都可依放生儀軌參與這些過程。

放生有非常大的功德，尤其對長壽、健康、治病、增長慈悲心、解冤消惡、除刀兵劫、災難等，是非常有利的除障善行，對小孩子也是很好的教育機會，歡迎閤家參與。
歡迎攜帶蚯蚓, 蟋蟀, 或是攜帶者知道如何放生的動物. 我們也接受小數目捐款代購蟋蟀。

Shakyamuni Buddha Birthday Cultivation

Over 2550 years ago, the child who would become the historical Buddha first set foot on this earth. Join us as we celebrate his birth with a day of offering the traditional Bathing Buddha Ceremony and Animal Liberation Ceremony saving lives. Come and spend a beautiful day in retreat, turning your mind towards the compassion and wisdom of Shakyamuni Buddha.

In the morning session, we will hold a special Bathing Buddha ceremony and offering prayers. Bathing the Buddha is a traditional ceremony performed in many areas of the world on the occasion of Buddha's Birthday. When we bathe the Buddha we are actually purifying our own defilement s and generating merit and virtue.

"One who uses pure beautifully scented water to pour onto the body of this image, offers it various flavorful drinks and foods, fully maintaining it with oblations, eulogizes the virtue of the Tathagata which is endlessly difficult to conceive. Through the wisdom of skillful means and the supernatural power of the Buddha, such a one will quickly reach the other shore of Nirvana."

...Sutra on the Merit of Bathing the Buddha

In the afternoon we will have an Animal Release or Liberation Ceremony. This is a very powerful and auspicious day for creating good imprints in your mind with the positive potential of any actions performed on this day being multiplied many hundreds of thousands of times. "In terms of creating good karma, Buddhism teaches that nothing surpasses saving the life of a being facing imminent death".

Everyone is welcome including families.
