The Philadelphia Buddhist Association (PBA) was founded in 1986 as a place where the teachings of Buddhism can be offered by teachers from the major traditions and where students of Buddhism at all levels of experience can meet in an atmosphere of openness and commitment to practice. We offer a variety of activities at PBA: weekly meditation practice in Plymouth Meeting and Radnor, a monthly lecture & discussion series on various Buddhist topics, a monthly Sutra Study group where we read the teachings of the Buddha, day long retreats and workshops from all traditions throughout the year, and a monthly group where we meet to talk about our meditation practice. We are always available to offer advice and information to assist people in finding a path, to enrich their current practice or to simply discover the basics of Buddhism and meditation.
PBA embraces all participants without regard to race, ethnic background, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. We welcome all and never charge a fee.
