What we're about

Membership Dues: $25.00 per year
Tired of paying high-priced travel companies to see the world and yet you still seem to miss all the best adventures? Travel with me and we will travel on a budget yet we will see all of the best sites, do all of the adventures, and create memories of a lifetime. I am a retired single, and I am tired of traveling alone.  We will be traveling in small groups of six or eight. This is a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE when booking with me.  I DO NOT charge you $600 or more if you are traveling solo, but if you want a room to yourself let me know in advance.  Your total cost will include absolutely everything, round-trip airline tickets, overnight accommodations, adventures, museums, concerts, airport transfers, bus tickets, rental cars, and anything else you can possibly imagine. Your trip cost does not include food or drinks. If you want to book your own airline ticket so you can earn points or use points, I am totally fine with that also.  Do not wait, these trips will fill up very quickly. Price listed is estimated cost, actual price (usually within a $100.00 difference) will be listed one month prior to departure.  When you chose to take one of my trips, a $100.00 deposit is required to hold your spot and the remaining balance must be paid within 4-6 weeks before travel date.

I am a fast paced person but do enjoy down time.  I will make sure we see absolutely everything major in each city we attend.  If at anytime you do not want to do a volcano climb, a bike tour, a museum or anything else, this is your vacation and you are free to do what you want so long as you are present when we move on to the next area.

Pleas be certain to read in full the terms and conditions before RSVP'ing to any trip.

One last note, I am very CHRISTIAN and whenever possible, wherever I am, I always try to check out a new service/mass on each Sunday of our vacations.  You do not have to attend if you chose not to.

We are Budget Travels and Vacations, LLC (“Budget Travels”). We look forward to assisting you in planning your travels. These terms and conditions (the “agreement”) describe what you are entitled to expect from us, in additional to your obligations as a client. The person, entity, or their representatives using our services, or booking a reservation through us are referred to as “you” and “your” throughout and includes any forms attached or any quote or invoice provided by us referencing these terms and conditions. The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Budget Travels and Vacations, LLC.
This Agreement commences on the date you make payment of your $100.00 deposit in order to reserve your booking through us and shall continue for the duration of the time we provide travel management services to you, until your return. The $25.00 Annual Membership Fee to our Meetup group does NOT constitute the commencement date of any Agreement between Budget Travels and Vacations, LLC, and any Member of Budget Travels and Vacations’ Meetup group.

During the Term, we will use our best efforts to assist in the planning of your travels.

When you agree to travel with us, you acknowledge and agree that we will be acting on your behalf only for relevant transport, accommodation, or other travel service provider. Our obligation to you is to (and you expressly authorize us to) make travel bookings on your behalf and arrange relevant contracts between you and travel service providers. The travel service provider, and not Budget Travels and Vacations, LLC, will be responsible to you for the provision of the relevant travel service. Travel services are not directly supplied by Budget Travels and Vacations, and therefore, Budget Travels and Vacations and its representatives, shall not be responsible for breach of contract, failure to comply with any laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), cancellations, interruptions, or any intentional or negligent actions or omissions on the part of the suppliers of Travel Services, which result in any loss, damage, delay, inconvenience or injury to travelers or travelers’ companions or group members.

Travel Protection insurance is highly recommended to help protect your investment and provide assistance in a travel emergency or any other unforeseen circumstance that could affect your travel plans, such as delays, interruptions, cancellations, and default by the travel provider. This is especially important if traveling abroad. The U.S. Department of State recommends travel insurance for anyone traveling abroad. We will not be liable for any loss you incur if and insofar as you are able to claim damages under a travel insurance policy.
The provider of your travel service will have its own terms and conditions (such as airline conditions of carriage or accommodation or car hire terms). All such terms and conditions (including limitations of liability) apply to any travel service booked pursuant to this Agreement and, accordingly, a reference to “this Agreement” shall mean: (1) the terms and conditions set forth herein; (2) the terms and conditions set out in any credit account extended to you (if applicable); and (3) all terms and conditions of any provider of your travel services. To the extent of any inconsistency between a travel service provider’s terms and conditions and the terms and conditions set out herein, the travel service provider’s terms and conditions shall prevail, save to the extent that any provision in the travel service provider’s terms and conditions is deemed invalid or unenforceable. Your travel service providers will be identified on your itinerary or travel documents and their respective terms and conditions will be available directly on their websites or by contacting them. Alternatively, you can ask us for copies. You must read all applicable travel service provider terms and conditions carefully because in every case they will apply to the provision of your travels.
Travel documents include airline tickets, hotel vouchers, tour vouchers or any other document (whether in electronic form or otherwise) used to confirm an arrangement with a travel service provider. Travel documents may be subject to certain conditions and/or restrictions including (without limitation) being non-refundable, non-date-changeable, non-transferable and subject to cancellation and/or amendment fees. Travel documents cannot be transferred to another person to use. All airline tickets must be issued in the name of the passport/photo identity holder. An incorrect name on a booking or on the travel documents may result in the inability to travel on that booking and the booking being canceled. Please review your travel documentation carefully and advise us immediately of any errors in the names, dates and timings. You must ensure you have all your travel documents and e-tickets prior to travel. Please let us know if you believe you have not received any required documentation. Refunds will not be issued for passengers denied boarding due to inability to present proper documents or failing to arrive at the airport on time.
A flight described on your travel documents and/or itinerary as “direct” will not necessarily by non-stop. All departure/arrival times are provided by the airlines concerned and are estimates only. They may change due to air traffic control restrictions, weather conditions, and operational requirements.
Our general practice is to send documents to our customers electronically whenever possible. We reserve the right to charge an administration fee should you make a request for such documents to be sent as a hard copy.
If possible, name changes provided in writing will be accepted until 48 hours before departure and are subject to the provisions and penalties of flight contracts. Name changes can be refused at any time or subject to cancellation penalties in the case of the hotel/supplier close-out. Name changes requested after documents are issued will be assessed a $50.00 per person name change fee in addition to any supplier, third party, or other fees and assessments.
Where we provide you with a quote for a scheduled airline ticket, the price shall be valid at the time of the quote (excluding airline taxes, which are subject to change and may be re-quoted at the time your booking is confirmed), but fare quotes are subject to change due to airline availability, pricing and terms or other factors that are beyond our control.
All airline tickets are subject to supplemental price increases that may be imposed after the date of purchase. Postpurchase price increases may be applied due to additional costs imposed by a supplier or government. You may be charged additional sums by Budget Travels and Vacations to offset increased fees, fuel surcharges, taxes and fluctuations in foreign exchange markets, or any combination thereof. Acceptance of these terms and conditions hereby acts as your consent to any post-purchase increases. In the event you cancel before taking the trip, Budget Travels will retain $250.00 of its fee to cover its administrative expenses (Administrative Fee) and refund the remaining balance of its fee.
You will be required to pay a minimum deposit of $100 per person when booking. The service provider may require further deposits. After the first installment payment is made, any cancellation will be subject to the $250.00 administrative fee. Final payment is required no less than 60 days prior to departure unless otherwise stated. Some airfares or services must be paid in full at the time of booking. Should you wish us to charge your credit card, we may require you to read and sign a credit card charge form set out in the receipt.  All credit card charges are subject to a 3.6% additional fee which you express authorize.
We reserve the right to refuse personal checks as a method of payment. After full payment, the conditions of the contract with your Supplier may permit them to increase the cost of your arrangements. If we are acting as your Booking Agent, we will pass on any increase to you as we become aware of such increase. If we have arranged a package, changes in transportation costs, including cost of fuel, taxes, fees and exchange rates mean that the price of your travel arrangements may change after you have paid in full.

Canceled bookings may incur charges. These charges can be up to 100% of the cost of the booking, regardless of whether travel has commenced. Fees and extra charges may also apply where a booking is changed and when tickets or documents are re-issued. Where we incur any liability for a travel service provider cancellation fee or charge for any booking which you cancel, you agree to indemnify us for the amount of the fee or charge. Where you seek a refund for a canceled booking for which payment has been made to the travel service provider, we will not provide a
refund until we receive the funds from that travel service provider. In the event the travel service provider does not provide a refund to Budget Travels, due to your late cancellation or the service provider’s policies, no refund will be provided to you.
Your contract with our Suppliers may allow them to cancel or amend bookings. If we are your Booking Agent, we will ensure that you are promptly notified of any significant changes once we become aware of such change if there is time before your departure, but we accept no liability for any changes or costs incurred that may result. Subject to the Supplier’s terms and conditions, you will then have the choice of accepting the change of arrangements, accepting an offer of alternative travel arrangements if one is made available by the Supplier, or canceling your booking arrangements and receiving any applicable refunds. We do not guaranty that any refunds will apply.
If you have booked a flight and we are alerted to a significant schedule change by your airline before you leave the United States, we will contact you by email to advise you of this. Please ensure that you have given your contact email address to us and that you regularly check for messages before your departure. We have no control over airline schedule changes and accept no liability for costs which may arise as a result of such changes.
If you have purchased a return flight, multi-stop or round the world flight and you do not check in on a confirmed flight, the airline will register you as a “no show” and your tickets and subsequent flights will be cancelled. Please contact us as soon as possible if you do not intend to check-in for a confirmed reservation in these circumstances.
After you have left the United States, it is your responsibility to check with the airline that any onward flights you have confirmed are operating as booked. We strongly recommend that you contact your airline at least 72 hours in advance before the scheduled departure of each flight to do this. Please note that for some airlines it is mandatory to confirm your intention to fly.
You understand and acknowledge that, if applicable, the travel insurance policy obtained by you to cover travel services will dictate any coverage for financial loss resulting from interruption or cancellation of the travel services.
In the event you cancel 60 days or more before taking the trip, subject to the terms of the travel service providers, Budget Travels will refund your trip less the Administrative Fee.  In the event you cancel 45-60 days before taking the trip, subject to the terms of the travel service providers, Budget Travels will refund up to 75% of your trip, less the Administrative Fee.  In the event you cancel 30-45 days before taking the trip, subject to the terms of the travel service providers, Budget Travels will refund up to 50% of your trip, less the Administrative Fee.  In the event you cancel less than 30 days before taking the trip, no refund or credit will be provided.  All cancellations are subject to the Administrative Fee.
All individuals departing from the United States of America must be in possession of a valid passport. Please check that your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended travel time. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have valid travel documentation, including but not limited to passports and visas, which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities at every destination. You are responsible for confirming with the United States Department of State or the representative government agency of the country to which you are traveling to confirm the requirements for visas and/or other requirements for admission to your destination. Any fines, penalties, payments, or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be your sole responsibility.

U.S. Government requirements are constantly changing regarding passport requirements for cruise travel outside the U.S. and U.S. domestic travel. We strongly recommend confirming your travel documentation needs with the proper government agencies: www.travel.state.gov. Foreign nationals should contact their government for further details and requirements. Guests traveling without proper documentation may be denied boarding and will not be entitled to a refund.
You acknowledge that travelling involves the risk of a variety of hazards to health and/or safety, including but not limited to, injury, illness, disease, epidemics, and/or pandemics, including exposure to COVID-19. You expressly understand and agree that you assume all such risks associated with travelling whether or not specified herein.

Federal law requires that we refer you to the Department of Transportations’ Disinfection Information page on their website at the time of booking for further information. www.transportation.gov/airconsumer/spray.

It is your responsibility to ensure you are aware of any health requirements, health advisories, or health travel restrictions applicable to your travel destinations and to ensure that you carry all necessary vaccination documentation and comply with all local health regulations including COVID-19 protocols and policies. Budget Travels and Vacations is not responsible for providing you with this information. Travel carriers and local authorities at travel destinations may require vaccination or specific testing prior to boarding and/or upon arrival at your destination or entry into attractions or government buildings, including, but not limited to, a temperature check as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. You may be denied entry onto your carrier and/or entry upon arrival at your destination or be required to self-quarantine at your destination and upon your return to the United States. You must comply with local government regulations. Additional costs are your responsibility. Check with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention for current information prior to and during your travel. www.cdc.gov. You assume complete and full responsibility for, and hereby release us from any duty to investigate or inform you as to possible dangers, dangerous conditions, diseases and other hazards associated with your destination.

Air travelers with identification (ID) that does not meet the REAL ID ACT requirements will have to use alternate ID forms (passport, military ID, or permanent resident card) to pass TSA security checkpoints—even for domestic travel. Please visit www.travel.state.gov  or https://www.dhs.gov/real-id  for the most updated requirements for travel documentation. Visas are required when they apply.

Federal law forbids the carriage of certain hazardous materials, such as aerosols, fireworks, and flammable liquids, aboard the aircraft. If you do not understand these restrictions, contact your airline or go to http://www.faa.gov/about/initiatives/hazmat_safety/

During local and national holidays abroad, certain facilities such as museums, sightseeing tours, and shopping may be limited.

You assume complete and full responsibility for, and hereby release the Budget Travels and Vacations, its employees and representatives from any duty of checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of each destination, and all safety and security conditions of such destinations, during the length of the proposed travel. It is the passenger’s responsibility to have proper passports or government issued IDs where permitted.
