This group is organized by The Mindfulness Alliance 10/30/19. Welcome to The Mindfulness Alliance MeetUp! The Mindfulness Alliance serves as a catalyst and community-builder in service to the mindful evolution of social systems. We believe that the future of the mindfulness movement lies in harnessing the combined power of awareness and the power of community-building to advance collective wellbeing. We are building a unique community of mindfulness practitioners that spans disciplines and sectors, and embraces multiple wisdom traditions. Through contemplative community-building and community-based action we can catalyze our collective capacity to foster awareness-based social change. Only through collaboration can we hope to be effective.

Labyrinth Meditation - In Person

Needs a location

WNYers, join in community for a walking meditation and sharing of insights using the labyrinth. The labyrinth is an ancient contemplative tool. Following its single winding path leads us to the center of our intuitive self. All are welcome, whether new to meditation or a longtime practitioner.

The Mindfulness Alliance will be offering periodic community labyrinth walks at various locations, led by Certified Labyrinth Facilitator and TMA Founding Member, Mitchell Alegre.

The first walk in the series will be August 20, 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., at the outdoor labyrinth on the front lawn of Daemen University, 4380 Main Street, Amherst, NY 14226. The theme of this walk is "Walking in Community."
*We will meet rain or shine.
*You may wish to bring a journal to record your thoughts and a lawn chair for our discussion time.

The Mindfulness Alliance is committed to facilitating social change through the movement from “me to We.” Mindfulness practices typically focus on personal development. The work of The Mindfulness Alliance applies mindfulness practices to unite individuals dedicated to facilitating collective wellbeing. Come August 20th to experience meditating with others along the labyrinth’s winding path!
