What we're about

Our interest is in "Trading Systems", more specifically the idea generation, development, evaluation and testing of trading systems and trading ideas. The definition and validation of a trading system is the cornerstone of a successful trading strategy and overall trading plan. We will explore various trading ideas, setups, strategies and determine the rules to quantify properly the potential returns and expectancy of these systems. We will review when it might make sense to apply them based on market conditions and other possible factors, and when not to apply them, and vet whether they should be avoided completely.

Our group is a collaborative group and members are encouraged to bring their own trading ideas and systems so that the group may help these respective members determine if their ideas have validity and potential positive expectancy. The group members may also help to vet system ideas, or hone in on possible improvements in performance or structural characteristics and best practices.

Mission Statement :

To work in a collaborative and sharing environment to develop, find, monitor and test, on an ongoing basis, potentially profitable trading systems and ideas that might have advantageous real world application.

Objective :

Have members understand and participate in system requirements, idea generation, design, build and evaluate (backtest and forward test) various trading ideas and systematic/mechanical trading models. The end objective is for members to understand how to take a concept from trading idea through to testing and implementation to determine if a specific methodology has a potential positive expectancy in order to help the respective member determine for themself if that system might fit their own personal goals and objectives. Compare and contrast different trading ideas, systems and methodologies for the purpose of comparison and diversification.

Disclaimer :

The group is a social group of individual enthusiasts that do not advocate or provide trading or investment advice of any kind. Each member is responsible for making their own trading and investment decisions and should always consult a registered financial representative or advisor before making any investment decisions.
