3. promote marketing ideas (ex. advertising in film festivals, author interviews on local public access television Channel 21, etc.)
There are two types of meetings for this group:
Monthly marketing meetings in Burlington every second Sunday of the month at 11:00 AM
Interested in publishing your novel in e-Book format? Amazon Createspace and Smashwords as well as iBooks make this easier than ever. However, marketing is a separate skill that self-publishing writers must learn, sometimes by trial and error. Share your experiences in this monthly meeting at Whidbey Coffee in Burlington (the one by Kohl's, not in the Cascade Mall).
Writers Round Table in Burlington (also every second Sunday of the month) at 11:30 AM
This is a monthly meeting devoted strictly to feedback on each others' writing. Bring your latest work (up to 8 pages maximum, please), and several copies to hand around. (Another option is uploading to Google Drive, and sharing the link so that others can read it from their smart phone. SAVES PAPER AND MONEY ON PRINTER INK!)
I am not affiliated with the Upfront Theater, but this is just to let others know that if you're interested in meeting other people who enjoy improv theatre and theatre in general, you have the opportunity to attend a free improv class at the Upfront Theater every first Saturday of the month in Bellingham. Class starts at 12 noon. After class, there is the opportunity to apply for volunteer work at the theater.
PARKING: FREE ON THE STREET ON SATURDAYS
