"Meeting plus cake = Party" In accordance with the above axiom, the next two Speakeasy Toastmaster meetings will be parties. On Wednesday, October 17th and 24 the Speakeasy Toastmasters Club will offer a taste of Uncle Tetsu's cheesecake to members and guests prior to our brief impromptu debate session. On the 17th, during table topics, we will be debating, "Does Uncle Tetsu's Japanese style cheesecake taste as good if you don't stand in line?" On the 24th we will be sampling Western style cheesecake, in preparation for debating the question, "Which is better Japanese or Western style cheesecake? " If some selfless club members volunteer to stand in line to get us Uncle Tetsu's Japanese style cheesecake, your research will be complete. One lucky guest will receive a cheesecake to take home! If you are lactose intolerant like my wife, you should check out the Daiya Foods Cheezecake in the natural foods section. Table topics are impromptu 2 minute+/- speeches on a prescribed topic. The Debate format we will be using is 3 for 3 against. Do you want to know more about Toastmasters and our Club ?
