For me, the speaker lost all credibility when he failed to repeat the question before responding to it. This is a common courtesy, which should be practiced by any speaker using a microphone. When half of the audience is video conferencing it is especially important. For me this lack of awareness on his part left me questioning how much he knew about anything he was talking about. He was teaching us about video conferencing but didn't know how to do it, so what else is he teaching us that he doesn't know about? He probably had good material but it was lost on me...

Thanks for your comments. It's unfortunate that technical issues can sometimes overtake the presentation of good content. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

I have no concern about the technical difficulties, there is nothing you can do about those...

The material was good, but it was impossible to hear the questions from Calgary.

    Hi Edith,
You ask a good question and one that is fairly complex. I would suggest you start doing some research on government websites and attending some seminars on this topic. My company is putting on a seminar called the "China Trade Summit" in Montreal this Sept 28-29. We will be showing small business owners how to trade with China. It might be something you should attend. Here is my website www.chinatradesummit.com and here is a good gov't website http://www.canadabusiness.ca/eng/page/2856/

    best of luck
    Martin
