What we're about
This group is for women ages 22 to 39 in the Bucks and Montgomery Counties looking to get out in their community and meet new women. Currently, most of our members are between 26 to 39 years old. Buxmont Ladies was created by four girls looking for some good old fashioned girl time. Additionally, we host occasional events where we welcome our husbands/significant others, but this group is first and foremost about girl time. Our main goal is quality, not quantity. Types of Events We Host: * coffee * wine tastings * book club * walks* community Service/volunteer * game nights * Picnics/potlucks * crafting * local excursions and much more...
General Group Guidelines:
*Be kind! This is a great group of ladies and we love welcoming new members! :)
*Be active! Share your opinions, show interest, but most importantly, attend the events!
*Be considerate when rsvping to events. Many events have a set amount of spots.
Guidelines for Events (Please read carefully!):
*Please have a current photo of you on your profile. This makes it much easier and safer for us to find each other at events.
*Only RSVP for events you CAN attend.
*Please change your RSVP and/or contact an organizer ASAP if something changes. Should you need to change your RSVP to no less than 24 hours before the event, message the host directly to let her know that you will not be there. (We understand things happen and we just ask that you communicate with us :) RSVPs will typically close 1 hour prior to the start of the event (For events requiring a reservation please go by the assigned RSVP date the host posted on the event page)
*Events that DO NOT require a reservation- We have a 3 strike "No show" rule (3 "No shows" and then membership removal). ***A "No Show" is not showing to an event at all or canceling less than hour before an event without notifying an organizer/host.
*Events that DO require reservation- You must confirm your RSVP by the event deadline (This will be clearly posted on the event). Changing your RSVP after the deadline or not showing will lead to automatic membership removal. We know this may seem harsh, but we want to be fair to all members who want to attend events, as well as have a great relationship with the businesses we work with :) Please communicate with the organizers if there is an issue with your reservation or an emergency.
***If a member is removed from the group, we do allow you to reapply at the discretion of the organizers. Please understand that if you are allowed to rejoin that any further "no shows" will lead to permanent membership removal.
*We encourage all members to be active and love when you want to host your own event! We ask that all members who want to host to have attended at least 3 events prior to hosting their first event. We want to get to know you and its makes for a much better event if you know some of group members as well! :) Feel free to host with a friend too! :)
*There may be an event where we charge a fee up front (an example is our annual holiday cookie exchange). The fee amount will be clearly stated on the event page, as well when you need to pay by. We do not offer refunds on event fees. Any member who has not paid by the posted deadline will be removed from the event guest list and not able to attend.
*Our group offers a free 90 day trial period for you to try out events and see if this group is for you! Once the trial is over Meetup will remove you from the group until you have paid. It is $5 to participate for the year (non refundable) and will need to be repaid each year to be part of the group (your deadline date can be found in your profile) These dues go strictly to the cost of running the meetup group's site. You may pay through Meetup, in person, Venmo or PayPal (Feel free to contact the organizers about this) if its before your deadline date for your dues. After your deadline date you can only pay through Meetup (We apologize about this, but it's Meetup's new policy and we have no control if you are overdue)
Finally, if you know women that may be interested in joining the group, and you think they'd make a great addition, invite them! We look forward to meeting you at our events!
***Please feel free to join our Facebook group too! :) We use this as a way to keep the conversation going after a great event and more easily connect with new friends we have made. No official events will be planned or posted on the Facebook group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/Buxmontladi... (https://www.facebook.com/groups/Buxmontladies/)
