The Markable library

Details

During the June meeting we will have a look at the Markable library for representing optional values in a different -- more compact -- way than what std::optional does.

The plan is to:

  1. Give the overview of Markable, what it does and design decisions that were made.
  2. Show, by the means of a real-life example, C++20 features, such as concepts or std::is_layout_compatible.
  3. Collect feedback on the library, its usefulness and design.

The author of the library -- Andrzej Krzemieński -- is a maintainer of boost::optional library, and has driven the effort to add std::optional to the Standard Library.
The Markable library can be found at https://github.com/akrzemi1/markable.
