V-CAFDA: Presenting join::table
Details
Have you ever wondered how you can make use of your FileMaker skills to give back to the community? Coming up on its second anniversary, join::table (https://jointable.org/) might be the answer you are looking for.
Makah Encarnacao of Soliant Consulting will walk through some of the success stories from join::table, a non-profit she co-founded that connects pro bono developers with non-profits in desperate need of development help. She will also discuss join::table's latest initiative, diversitable, which is a program aiming to increase diversity in tech through mentoring and training. She will demo some of the FileMaker apps that were built in order to make diversitable function.
Next, Beth Murillo, a diversitable committee member, will be demoing a resume building app she created in FileMaker to help our diversitable participants build their own resumes.
Finally Vanessa Costanzo of NaviCu, who also is part of the diversitable team, will wrap up with some exciting updates from Women Innovating Together.
The meeting starts at 10:00, but you are welcome to join us (no pun intended) at 9:45 if you'd like to socialize a little and say hi first.
