Cape Ann Photography Excursion (CAPE) Group will meet for the first time at scenic Halibut Point State Park (https://www.mass.gov/dcr/parks/northeast/halb.htm) in beautiful Rockport, Massachusetts. Chosen for the diversity of photo opportunities, Halibut State Park offers something for everyone, regardless of photographic interest. Together we'll explore walking trails and tidepools, while learning a little bit about Rockport's granite history. We'll experience sweeping ocean views, rocky ledges, Babson quarry, foliage, flora, birds, and more!

What to bring:

Camera
Extra film or memory card
Water and snack, there is no food available in the park
Comfortable shoes suited for walking on a variety of terrain
Jacket/Hat/Gloves, dress in layers

Halibut Point State Park Details:

Admission Fees: Pedestrians and bicyclists free.
Parking: $2 for non-Trustees member, free for Trustees member.
Public Restrooms available.
State park staff on duty year-round; hours vary.

Facilities/Amenities
The state park operates a small visitor center and museum devoted to Halibut Point's natural history and Cape Ann's historic granite quarrying industry, of which Halibut Point's Babson Farm Quarry was a major part.
