What we’re about
CAPS (Caribbean-American Professional Society) is a group of professional Caribbean descendants particularly: business people, scientists, lawyers, nursing, physicians, and other like-minded people interested in the support, promotion, and fellowship of bright young aspiring students in high school/college with a Caribbean heritage. This is accomplished by identifying stellar students and supporting them through social gathering, mentorship and discussion. It is also a social group and an avenue for networking with other Caribbean professionals in the region/Virginia. Many of us had to navigate our way through the sea of information, guessing all the while whether or not this was the correct path. That being said, we should be able to identify students and give them the benefits of our collective knowledge and experiences. Particularly we will function as a bridge in supporting students in the basic sciences, mathematics and Caribbean medical mission support. We encourage all (Caribbean and non-Caribbean) professionals who are interested in support of our mission to join us on this voyage.
