Darwin Day Program: "On the Heels of Dinosaurs & Creationists"

Join us for our annual Darwin Day meeting, featuring paleontologist Glen Kuban. Glen's program is titled "On the Heels of Dinosaurs and Creationists."

Glen first became interested in paleontology while earning a degree in biology at the College of Wooster, but with a twist; he was a fundamentalist-leaning Christian at the time, and was hoping to verify certain so-called “out of place” fossils (such as the famous Paluxy River tracks) on the side of Creationism!

Instead, Glen ended up documenting hard evidence contrary to creationist claims, and discovered some new authentic dinosaur tracks in the process. His ongoing zest for paleontology caused a major shift in Glen’s thoughts about religion as well.

Darwin’s birthday cake (and of course coffee) will be served -- don’t miss this one!

This is always a good event and I'm looking forward to it. Did anyone see the news that scientists think a crater in Mexico may have been caused by a meteor that contributed to dinosaur extinction? And what about dinosaurs feathers? They must have been such gorgeous creatures.
