Details
The business world where you live and operate is shortly to get easier to raise equity capital for your business from the crowd.
The Crowd Sourced Funding Act now in place is designed to make it easier for start-ups and small business to be able to promote their share offer directly to investors (wholesale and retail) without the costs and hassles of a full IPO, and not being restricted to a limited number of Angel Investors or VC's.
Things have intensified greatly with the recent publication of a Proprietary Limited draft paper for crowdfunding so we will be keen to hear about the implications of making the 'other 99%' of companies potentially eligible to equity crowdfunding.
Come along to our Innovative Funding options seminar for SME’s on 28 June 2017 co-hosted by HLB Mann Judd to hear more about the expanded funding environment about to take off. Speakers and panel members include:
Jeff Broun (Director CFIA, Fat Hen and Australian Equity Crowdfunding Pty Ltd);
Tony Chong senior partner at Lavan; and
Kirstin Stewart Partner at HLB Mann Judd Business Advisory Services Division and well acquainted with how to get companies CSF ready.
The speakers will help unpack the new legislation and follow with Q&A to help unlock the requirements and show you how equity crowdfunding is set to work.
You'll need to be there to find out about the standardised offer document, the Public company and Proprietary proposals and hear more from the CFIA about the practical side to preparing your fundraising campaign.
It's a great way to connect with potential backers and network with a beverage or two.
Now we’re getting somewhere in line with other countries and by enlarging your company’s members register with a more crowded register and not have one controlling investor can create something so strong!
