We would like to extend a complimentary invitation to you and a colleague to attend a Community Meetup that we are hosting at Workhaus Commerce Court in Toronto on May 29th at 6:15pm.
The title of the meetup is AI and advanced analytics: connecting culture, ethics and society in a machine age. The session is designed to explore the following questions:
Advanced analytics are generating a firestorm of interest and activity as AI and related technologies offer potential for the creation of data insights that can support new business models. But what must be in place on a cultural level to translate ‘potential’ to ‘actual’ in the development of data-driven decision-making within the enterprise? And how, in the absence of firm legislative or standards guidance, can businesses work to ensure that data assets are used in an ethical manner? As data collection encroaches further into the personal realm, and as AI competes with human intelligence, what kinds of questions should we be asking – and answering to derive social as well as corporate value from automation and machine learning?
In this Meetup, Mary Allen will lead a panel of analytics and data science experts as they work through challenges in the responsible use of AI. We encourage attendees to ask questions and share individual perspectives, and to network with peers who are also interested in the use and abuse of advanced analytics technologies.
Our program opens with a spotlight presentation from Tyler Schnoebelen (integrate.ai) (https://www.linkedin.com/in/tylerschnoebelen/), followed by a great expert panel featuring Jamie McDougall (Gore Mutual) (https://www.linkedin.com/in/jamie-mcdougall-77218524/), Victor Garcia (Schulich School of Business) (https://www.linkedin.com/in/victor-j-garcia-canada/), Stephen Giles (Dimensional Strategies Inc.)
