Virtual Friday Kirtan Chanting & Meditation Circle

Needs a location

Hi everyone!
Kirtan is a very different kind of music. Based on ancient chants, it is a simple & powerful way to meditate -- the music does its magic as you joyfully & effortlessly flow with the melody & rhythm. Kirtan is non-denominational, the Universal language of Spirit, the Song of the Soul.

The Friday Kirtan & Meditation group meets every Friday night over Zoom, and all are welcome to join the circle as we sing traditional Sanskrit chants to Western music. Come at 6:30 PM PST if you’d like to chat & check-in with the community, the set will start at 7 PM. Lots of our past sets are here as podcasts, check it out! www.newworldkirtan.com.

Our set this week has been curated by our friend & Satsang member Sky, the focus is on chants for strength.

We have our Friday Kirtan/Meditation Circle through Zoom now.
Zoom has some limitations with delay, so singing together as a group is problematic. We'll be muted, but together in Spirit. You can sing in your space, and know that we'll all be singing with you. But if you don't wish to sing, you can just take in the sacred sounds. After the ending prayer, there will be some time for quiet conversation, but if you'd like to keep your energy intact we'll all understand if you log off after the prayer.

Here’s how the Zoom session works. At 7 PM click on the link below and give Zoom permission to access your microphone & camera. If you anticipate trouble, try to log in early (Bill & I will be there at 6:45 PM) so we can help you troubleshoot if you can't connect. If you don't wish to access the session on your computer, use the phone number to dial in.
Everyone's audio will be muted when you enter, you can unmute yourself if you wish to speak. Turning off your video when we begin the set as well as closing down all unnecessary programs on your computer may improve the quality of the call.
