COSMOS Kick-Off Meetup

Details

Join us for the COSMOS kick-off meetup event on Thursday, February 11, 2016, from 5:30PM – 7:30PM at Spark Café, Lightbank, 600 West Chicago Avenue, Suite 775, Chicago.

NOTE: Please note you must sign up for the event by Monday, February 8 as your name needs to be submitted to building security prior to the event.

This is an opportunity to meet your fellow COSMOS members (59 of us so far!) and discuss priorities for future COSMOS events.

We will also be joined by Richard Sallari, PhD, Scientific Adviser at Tempus, who will share a brief presentation on “Cancer Genomics in 3D.”

Dr. Sallari's past affiliations include the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at MIT, the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT, the University of Toronto, and Dartmouth College. He investigates the genomic mechanisms of cancer emergence and evolution, and his research addresses both the inherited variants that initiate the transformation of normal cells and the somatic mutations that drive tumor formation.

Be sure to share the event with other computational biologists, bioinformaticians and those specializing in the analysis and/or computation of molecular data and encourage them to join COSMOS.

Snacks and beer will be served!

Best, Mat
