Free Talk/Demo: Introduction to QEEG & Neurofeedback with Dr. Andrew Hill

Details

WELCOME to a jam-packed Brain Weekend - hosted by the the Biohacker Centre Denmark! We're thrilled to host one of the worlds most renowned brain experts - Dr. Andrew Hill.

The Brain Weekend will kick off with this FREE event, where you'll get an introduction to QEEG & Neurofeedback with Dr. Andrew Hill

Agenda:

  • Overview of neurofeedback: what can it do?
  • Quantitative EEG for Biohackers: what does it show?
  • See a demonstration of neurofeedback and QEEG and overview of their application for peak performance

Attendees have an opportunity to:

  • attend a paid workshop at the same venue the following day (Sept 30), which includes a QEEG and instruction on how to do neurofeedback from home to address performance goals.
  • purchase neurofeedback equipment and receive follow up protocol supervision from Peak Brain Institute and Dr. Andrew Hill.

About Dr. Andrew Hill (USA):
Dr. Andrew Hill is one of the top peak performance coaches and neurofeedback practitioners in the world. He holds a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from UCLA’s department of Psychology and researches attention, cognitive performance, and peak aging. Dr. Hill is the founder of Peak Brain Institute, host of the Head First Podcast, and a UCLA Lecturer teaching courses in psychology, neuroscience, and gerontology.

What is Neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback is operant conditioning of EEG or other central brain-based parameter to affect performance goals. It was discovered in the 1960s and has good research support showing use in addressing needs of ADHD, seizure, sleep issues, TBI damage, PTSD, immune function, Autism, Creativity, and Peak Performance. There are many kinds of neurofeedback, but most forms “train” the EEG amplitudes or frequency and change the brain over time, using passive audio-visual feedback in response to brain wave changes. Neurofeedback also usually makes long term changes in the brain after training for 2-3 months of regular training.

What is a Quantitative EEG or QEEG?
QEEG “Brain Mapping” is noninvasive measurement of resting EEG baselines, using a full-head cap of electrodes (at least 19 channels). It is an evidence-based foundation for neurofeedback training and helps us get a snapshot of your brain and design a protocol specifically tailored to your unique needs and desired outcomes. A comparison to population databases can identify discriminant markers suggesting performance bottlenecks or symptoms, and give insight into how our brains work and how we are aging. Patterns in the QEEG generate hypotheses about brain function, and remain stable over time, unless the brain is changed through injury or biohacking.
