Talk Abstract:

Over the summer we began the process of migrating our code base to use
Conan.io from a combination of vcpkg and custom package management. We
had to develop an incremental approach to migration that allowed us to
integrate conan with vcpkg and some custom package management. We
eventually added conan distribution of our binaries via artifactory
and semantic versioning. We built a set of tools on top of Conan to allow us to manage conan,
vcpkg, and custom binaries in the same environment. We also built a
QtApp browser that allows consumers of our component to browse
versions and deploy without having knowledge of the conan command
line. This talk will explore how we adopted conan, the tools we had to write
to support our CI/CD process.
