Create Brighton 5 - Ideas For Social Innovation & Workplace Culture

Hello everyone!

You are invited to the very first Create Brighton event of 2014 and it is going to be smashing.

Our last event hosted talks from some really inspiring innovators and entrepreneurs who sparked off some fascinating and engaging conversations. This time round is set to be just as awesome and we can't wait to see you there.

We have arranged three pioneering local speakers who I am certain you will really enjoy and learn from:

Pete Burden - Conscious Business People

Dr. Tom Smith - OCSI

Cat Fletcher - Freegle & Brighton Waste House

This Create Brighton will be taking place upstairs at The Quadrant on Queens Road, just up from the Clock Tower and kicks off at 6.00pm. The bar is downstairs so please grab your drinks down there first, then head up to get a name badge and meet everyone else.

More on Pete

Over the last few years Pete has been part of the secret sauce that put NixonMcinnes on the map, but now concentrates on what he is most passionate about, building conscious businesses as a founding partner of Conscious Business People. Pete will talk to us about his story and the values he has developed for starting and running a Conscious Business.

More on Tom

Tom is the founder and MD of OCSI (Oxford Consultants for Social Inclusion) a Brighton based democratic company that helps public sector organisations interprut and understand data in order to build better services. Tom will talk to us about what drove him turn his company democratic and how it affects the way they work today.

More on Cat

Cat Fletcher is obsessed with waste - come and hear rubbish facts, figures, solutions and all about her journey from Sydney to today as a UK Waste activist. Cat has run the online Freegle reuse group in Brighton http://freegle.in/Brighton Brighton for 6years, she is also part of the team building the  Brighton Waste Houseover at University of Brighton and works with all and sundry to prevent waste any way she can.

You are welcome to attend Create for free as we believe it should never cost you to be a part of community, but there will be a donations box and we are really grateful to those who can help us cover our costs and keep Create running!

From what I experienced, it was well structured by Toby. Friendly atmosphere and interesting people. If I hadn't double booked with another Meetup I would have stayed longer.
