A timely meetup event to discuss the hot topic of CSR mandatory contributions, the new endowment legislation and the UAE national agenda!

Recent updates in the CSR front in Dubai make this meetup a must-attend! In his recent address, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy stated that the UAE government seeks to ensure AED500 million in financial aid and in-kind support by UAE-based companies in furtherance of their commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) during 2017.

2017 was declared the “Year of Giving” with activities developed to cover six main themes, CSR, volunteerism, the developmental role of humanitarian organisations, legislative systems and government policies, media, and serving the nation. The newly aired website https://www.csruae.ae, presents the 11 formal initiatives as part of the UAE National agenda to support, encourage, recognise and reward companies and organisations for their contributions. The new endowment law will also be discussed on this meetup.

This meetup will focus on the role of CSR, contributions and Sustainability in regard to national priorities, the mandatory application of CSR in the UAE and ways forward for the private, public and third sector.

Alex is a Chartered Communicator and Marketer in the Middle East and Iran, the first communications innovator in the MEA region named by the Holmes Report. He holds an extensive expertise of over 15 years in communications, IT, media, public relations and marketing in energy, technology and FMCG industries and Gulf-based government institutions.

Alex is engaged in managing reputational affairs for the Middle East's largest FMCG as Corporate Communication and Reputation Manager for the Arabian Peninsula at Procter & Gamble. He is focused on areas such as aligning marketing and communications to the business, developing creative and unique concepts that work in this region, and making marcomms as measurable as possible. His specialities span across branding and identity, marketing, communications, sales, organizational development, customer relationship management, digital marketing, web programming, translation and social media.
